This form will allow you to submit nominations for Individual Academic All-State. In our continued quest to recognize the outstanding work of the student-athletes around Wisconsin, the WBCA has modified and expanded the Academic All-State program for 2026.

You must be a WBCA member to nominate and have your players selected; if you are not yet a member for this year, please sign up on the WBCA website ASAP.

Please see below for the two different Academic All-State paths:

• ACADEMIC ALL-STATE
  • This requires that nominated athletes be varsity players from any grade level and hold a cumulative career GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Our goal is to recognize as many athletes as possible with this honor. All players that you nominate for this level of Academic All-State will have a Certificate that you can print out after completing the nomination and will be recognized on the WBCA website, on WisSports.net, and in media releases.
• ELITE ACADEMIC ALL-STATE
  • This will be similar to what the WBCA has produced in the past, incorporating more robust academic review and incorporating on-court performance as well. This recognition continues to be for SENIORS ONLY. This is the best of the best combining all aspects of what it means to be a student-athlete. You should not be nominating all of your players for this honor, only the elite student-athletes. You will need more information for this nomination, outlined below. Nominees are reviewed by a selection committee and only 15 boys and 15 girls will be selected for the Elite Academic All-State team. These 15 boys and 15 girls players will be recognized at the WBCA All-State Banquet and receive plaques recognizing their accomplishment. Please note that all players nominated for Elite Academic All-State are automatically part of the regular Academic All-State list (you do not have to nominate them for both).

You can nominate multiple players on the same registration by selecting "Register Another Nominee" after completing the first player nom.

To nominate for Team Academic All-State, please complete this Individual portion first and then use the link provided at the end of this form to navigate to the Team Academic All-State nomination form.

GPA Grading Guidelines - All grade points averages will be based on the 4.0 scale and averages above that will be lowered to 4.0. If you have a scale beyond 4.0, please adjust your average before sending in your nomination or it will be returned to you for readjustment. These should be cumulative career GPA's to include first semester of this year.

Information you will need for regular Individual Academic All-State include:

Please note this recognition is open to all varsity athletes.

Information you will need for Elite Individual Academic All-State include:

• Player Name
• Player Photo (high quality, original image)
• Player Email
• Player Phone Number
• Player Address
• Parent Name
• Parent Email
• Parent Phone
• Player Class Rank
• Player's Graduating Class Size
• Player's GPA
• School's Grading Scale
• Player's ACT score
• Honors Received by Player
• Player's Points, Rebounds, and Assists per game

Please be sure to have all information ready when starting the registration. If you close out of it at any time, you will need to start over as it may not save your progress. You will also have an area for a brief, one-paragraph comment/statement on the player.

Important notes:

• You must be a WBCA member to nominate and have your players selected; if you are not yet a member for this year, please sign up on the WBCA website ASAP.
• SENIORS ONLY
• Minimum GPA: 3.5 (on 4.0 scale)
• Minimum ACT score: 25
• GPA Grading Guidelines - All grade points averages will be based on the 4.0 scale and averages above that will be lowered to 4.0. If you have a scale beyond 4.0, please adjust your average before sending in your nomination or it will be returned to you for readjustment.
• This Academic All-State Nomination is separate from the WBCA All-Star Game, Legacy Leadership, and All-State nomination process. If you nominate a player for one of them, you still need to nominate them for the others.

Please be sure that you advance all the way through the registration. You should enter Player Info for every player you are nominating. If you only enter Team Info but stop before Player Info, your player will not show up on the nominations. When finished, you will be taken to a page to confirm you registration info, but you are NOT done until you click on "Complete Registration" at the bottom of that page.

If you receive an email after submitting your nominations about claiming a registration entry, please disregard it, everything still went through fine.
